MISSION:To speak with one voice and to be seen accomplishing positive outcomes for the community. HISTORY:The Altus Hispanic Association is a non-profit organization formed in March 2006 by several Hispanic community leaders. PURPOSE OBJECTIVES:To develop and maintain an effective organizaiton for people of all ages in areas of education, health and rights. To also host events that will educate, promote and share the Hispanic culture. BRIEF SUMMARY:A vision of the Altus Hispanic Association is to establish a trusting and friendly relationship with the citizens of Altus and the surrounding communities while also providing educaitonal scholarships. The AHA also hopes to work with city government and businesses in helping to promote the Hispanic culture and build a stronger busiiness community. MEMBERSHIP:Anyone regardless of age, sex, religion or race can be a member.
